Chapter 2

The Sims Vegas hold. I can't believe they decided to put one in Sunset Valley. It's not really a party place. But I had to admit, it was beautiful. Courtney and I were the first ones there so we went up to the roof and started dancing and having a good time. Soon people starting to show up.

"Whose that guy over there?"

"Oh that's Brian. I dated him for awhile. Stay away from him, he'll just break your heart." Courtney said as she read a text message on her phone. I looked over at him and her looked back at me. I smiled. I had never had a boyfriend, and my only kiss was with a boy from summer camp freshman year. So I had no expierence in the guy department.

"Bad news Amy, there's an emergancy at the hospital and I have to go." Courtney put her phone away. "But you should stay, make some friends."

Courtney ran off before I could say anything.

"Did Courtney run off again?" I turned around and saw Brian.

"Well there was an emergancy at the hospital." I replied.

Brian smiled. "I've never seen you around here before. I'm Brian." He put his hand out.

"Amy." I said as I shook his hand. "This is my hometown. I just moved back and I'm staying at Courtney's."

"That's cool." Brian smiled. His smile was nice. It made me relax and I smiled back. "Do you wanna dance?" He asked.

I thought about what Courtney said. But one dance wasn't going to do anything. Plus she had the car so I had no way of getting back to her house. So maybe I could charm Brian enough to give me a ride.

"Yeah okay." I smiled. We danced for awhile. It really was a lot of fun Brian was a great dancer. He made everything look so easy. I've never been very talented on my feet but something about Brian just gave me confidence and let me relax and trust myself.

Before we knew it the party was ending.

"I probably should get going. Do you need a ride back to Courtney's?" Brian asked.

"Actually yeah, could you maybe give me one?"

"Of couse." He smiled. "Ya know Amy, I didn't think I would have a lot of fun tonight but... I did, so... thank you."

I hesitated before I said 'your welcome.' I smiled back. Maybe Courtney was wrong. She did have some boy issues. Maybe Brian wasn't that bad.

Chapter 1

“Here we are!” announced Courtney as we pulled up to her house. I looked out my window to see the cute little green house along the beach that I will be staying in. Ever since I was a little girl I have always dreamed of living in that house. It was just so me. It was small, but not too small. It was bright but not too bright, and it was right across from the beach, where I use to spend my childhood days. The beach was calm and peaceful. Courtney and I spent many hours just staring into the ocean when we were going up. Courtney was my best friend, and we have been through a lot together. Sure we were total polar opposites but somehow we just clicked. Courtney liked to spend her nights partying and had had many men in her life. She knew everyone and had always had many friends. Courtney is in medical school and works as a medical intern at the local hospital, but all her life she was always saying how she wanted to get out of Sunset Valley and move to Bridgeport. I on the other hand, had always loved Sunset Valley. It will always be my home. After high school I moved to Bridgeport to study journalism in college. Bridgeport was too crowded and hectic for me, but I knew it was perfect for Courtney. When I graduated from college I was offered an internship with a reporter who writes articles in the travel section in the Bridgeport newspaper. For two years I got to travel all over the world. I’ve been to Champs Les Sims, Shang Simla, and Al Simhara. But I was always homesick for Sunset Valley. So now I’ve got a job as an investigative reporter in Sunset Valley. Since I have no money, Courtney offered to let me stay at her place, and I had no idea she had bought my dream house.“I’m so happy your back Amy, I missed you so much!” Courtney said as she gave me a hug.
“I missed you too. I’m happy to be home."

“I can’t believe how much you’ve done since high school! You’ve been all around the world and the farthest I’ve gotten was moving out of my parents’ house.”

“Come on. You’re on your way to becoming the best surgeon in the world. That’s amazing!”

Courtney laughed. “Yeah maybe. So guess what? There’s this huge party tonight at the new hotel. We should go to celebrate your homecoming.”
“I don’t know Courtney; I’m not exactly the party type.”

“Oh please come! It will be fun, I promise! Please? For me?”

I sighed. “Oh alright, I guess a little fun can’t hurt.”

Here We Go!
